About Safia

Safia (She/Her) brings over 15 years of experience in the charity sector, with a diverse background that includes work on youth support, homelessness, and national network coordination for effective systems change. Her career is characterised by a commitment to positive disruption and impactful, systemic change.

Outside of Taye Safia is a facilitator who runs her own anti-oppression education company, collaborating with organisations across various sectors to engage in deep, transformative work to recognise and address oppression and build equity.

Safia’s values in training and delivery are rooted in collaboration, compassion, and curiosity. She is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where participants can engage without pressure or judgement. She emphasises embracing complexity, using diverse practical approaches, and providing opportunities to explore lived experiences, discuss real examples, and address behaviours in a constructive manner.
