About Helen
Outside of Helen’s professional roles, her lived experience has played a big part in shaping her perspective on mental health, neurodiversity, nutrition, and emotional resilience. With a late diagnosis of ADHD, alongside her own experiences of trauma and recovery, she brings a genuine understanding of the challenges people can face, as well as what supports meaningful, lasting change.
Through both her personal and professional journey, including her MSc in Mental Health and her work in coaching, facilitation, and wellbeing, Helen has developed a compassionate, grounded, and practical approach to supporting others. She combines this with a strong focus on trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware practice.
In her training, Helen creates a safe, inclusive, and relaxed environment where people feel comfortable to engage, reflect, and learn. She is particularly passionate about supporting others to build confidence, increase understanding, and develop practical tools they can use in real-life situations.
Delegates often describe her style as warm, approachable, and insightful. Her coaching and facilitation approach is collaborative and person-centred, using active listening and real-life context to help individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered.
