‘Expert’ is our winning combination of connected expertise and 12 advanced facilitation skills. It maximises the opportunity for learning, lightbulb moments, and behavioural change.

"Being an operational expert isn’t about having all the knowledge; it’s about true experience, understanding, and empathy." (Page 30, Transform your Training)

A facilitator with connected expertise brings more than just experiences and examples to a session. They offer a true understanding of the organisation, the customer group, and how to meet learning objectives in a way that influences daily work. An expert can reassure, advise, and guide delegates through the learning process. Training led by someone who has ‘walked the walk’ is both inspirational and motivational.

However, connected expertise alone does not make one a great teacher or facilitator. Effective facilitation requires a different set of skills. The combination of operational expertise and advanced facilitation skills maximises learning opportunities, lightbulb moments, and behaviour change.

“The learning from the expert module has helped me to have the confidence in my own abilities. It helped me to improve my facilitation skills, and unpick what expert means and how to use your expert knowledge within the training room. This helped me to understand that using your expert knowledge can be shown in many ways.”

"When an operational expert is delivering a session, they bring more than just experiences and examples to bear. They also bring a true understanding of the sector, the customer group, and how to facilitate the learning objectives in a way that will influence a delegate’s daily work."
