Aarti Kotecha

Facilitator

About Aarti

Aarti has almost 20 years’ experience as a practitioner, lecturer, academic researcher, and trainer within the field of domestic abuse. Aarti’s extensive experience of working with victim-survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and delivering community-based treatment programmes to perpetrators of intimate partner violence enables her to provide professionals with training that is grounded in current research and real-life case studies.

Aarti specialises in working with male victim-survivors of domestic abuse. She also has extensive experience of tackling female genital mutilation, founding Leicester’s first FGM awareness raising campaign, publishing resources for healthcare professionals, co-writing local safeguarding policies for FGM and pioneering innovative in-house risk assessment processes to identify FGM.

Alongside this, Aarti works with local and national organisations to produce academic research on domestic abuse for the purpose of informing evidence-based best practice. Driven by a strong passion for social impact to improve the lives of those who experience abuse, Aarti is passionate about empowering professionals to work effectively and compassionately with survivors.

Alongside being a Taye Facilitator, Aarti is the Founder of PAiPA (Promoting Action in Preventing Abuse) with a particular emphasis on marginalised or disadvantaged communities.

Alexandra Horvath

About Alexandra

Alexandra is a Roma woman whose work is informed by her lived experience of racism, exclusion, and navigating systems that have not always felt safe or accessible. She is a qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) and a Low Intensity CBT Therapist, with extensive frontline experience across domestic abuse services and Clinical Health Psychology, all of which support her passion for supporting individuals and families facing complex challenges, including but not limited to underserved communities, and those facing domestic abuse, child abuse, and mental health challenges.

Alexanda’s commitment is to equity, cultural awareness and supporting marginalised communities, and currently is working as a support officer, contributing to Welsh Government Cultural Competence training. Alexandra is truly committed to social justice and empowerment.

Amanda McEvoy

About Amanda

Amanda is an experienced learning and development practitioner and has over 20 years' experience working within the NHS. She has worked across systems to deliver complex health and wellbeing interventions and has focussed on staff wellbeing with a passion for mental health and women’s health as well as marginalised groups.

Amanda designs and delivers bespoke coaching and consultancy solutions for individuals and organisations. Working in health & wellbeing, equality & diversity, mental health and women’s health she is passionate to reduce stigma and empower people to take control of their situation.

Amanda is a high energy, passionate and enthusiastic trainer of 24 years who brings fun to all elements of learning. Her engagement with delegates leads to meaningful conversations around the topic. She can connect and build rapport with delegates and coaches alike and explore difficult subjects with sensitivity and compassion.

Andrea Kearns

About Andrea

Andrea resides in Northern Ireland, where she serves as both a trainer and a qualified therapist. Since 2007, Andrea has been delivering training, particularly in the realm of mental health.

As a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainer for trainers, she not only conducts training sessions but also actively promotes the program. Her passion for this work stems from both personal and professional experiences, and Andrea is eager to share her journey of recovery, with a particular emphasis on well-being in the workplace.

Andrea also provides training on child protection, and neurodiversity within the criminal justice system and various workplace settings. She prides herself on being adaptable to different environments, and strives to be kind, friendly, and approachable. Andrea also remains open to learning new concepts and is committed to her continuous growth in this field.

Anna Wright

About Anna

Anna’s approach to facilitating is deeply human, using strengths-based, trauma informed techniques to create an atmosphere of real trust and respect. With over 25 years of experience in learning and development; including working as a nurse, designing and delivering leadership and careers programmes, and working with neurodiverse young people. Anna uses own lived and professional experience to work with organisations to create neuro inclusive workplaces and cultures.

Her understanding of neurodiversity (with a focus on women, and those diagnosed later in life) coupled with her experiences and qualifications mean Anna is talented in creating psychologically safe environments, where delegates feel comfortable exploring complex or sensitive topics. Anna’s aim in facilitation is to build understanding, challenge assumptions, and inspire meaningful change.

Annie Moon

About Annie

A JNC qualified Youth & Community Worker, Annie Moon started her career working in a children’s home and running a youth club amongst other things. Over three decades’ later, she’s come full circle now training and assessing tomorrow’s youth workers. On the youth work front, Annie currently mentors young people to be the best version of themselves.

She is the former Deputy CEO of The Diversity Trust, where she led on corporate partnerships, co-chaired the Equalities Podcast, and spearheaded projects, including the diversity in menopause strand. 

Throughout her career, Annie has worked at both the grassroots, strategic levels and across local authorities and the voluntary sector. She is passionate about the power of small charities, partnership working and participatory approaches.

Annie serves as a Trustee for two charities, including Mums in Need, a charity supporting mums who have experienced post-separation coercive control. In this role, Annie leans into her connected lived experience. From 2026, she’ll be joining Hourglass as a helpline volunteer. Hourglass is a national charity, dedicated to preventing and addressing elder abuse.  

A committed advocate for the LGBT+ community, Annie champions the voices of lived experience and works to empower marginalised communities.

Beckie Breakwell

About Beckie

Beckie is an experienced child and young person’s worker, with over 15 years of experience providing one-to-one and group support around sexual trauma, domestic abuse, child sexual exploitation and emotional wellbeing. She has worked in both frontline and management roles within the charity sector. Her mix of personal and professional lived experience enables her to explore different perspectives, facilitate meaningful conversations and inspire positive change.

Alongside her work as a Taye facilitator, Beckie is the Managing Director of What's the Debate?; an organisation that aims to raise awareness, educate and prevent young people from being subjected to abuse, violence and exploitation within their relationships through RSHE.

Beckie is a passionate facilitator who enjoys designing and delivering training that challenges, empowers and encourages reflection. She is committed to creating safe and engaging learning environments where delegates feel fully supported when exploring complex and sensitive topics.

Becky Dawson

About Becky

Becky has experience in education as a teacher, Assistant Head and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. She also worked in a Local Authority developing a range of support for children and young people, working with a range of partners to bring together the strength of the community to support wellbeing. Becky has held many roles such as SENCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead which have brought her into contact with many families who face huge challenges every day.

Becky has also worked in a Local Authority developing a range of support for children and young people, working with a range of partners to bring together the strength of the community to support wellbeing.

Becky specialises in developing and delivering training in a range if sectors with a focus on mental health, wellbeing and safeguarding. She is currently the National Wellbeing Lead for Twinkl Educational Publishing where she works to ensure that wellbeing is central to the work completed in schools, for both children, young people, staff and the community.

Carol Woodhead

About Carol

Carol has experience of working within community health and local authority services for 25 years. She has worked on the frontline delivering and designing training packages around healthy eating, domestic abuse and child development, to inspire change in families. She is currently working as a parenting support manager for a local authority, coordinating and designing the parenting offer available whilst training, coaching, mentoring and motivating staff, volunteers and partner agencies. Utilising a mix of personal and professional experience enables her to drive forward change and bring sessions to life.

Carol has been with Taye Training since 2017and is both a facilitator and mentor for our Train the Trainer programme. She is also working on a pilot programme with Taye as a Lead Experienced Equity Facilitator and has taken charge of the induction programme to ensure this is a seamless journey from the training to facilitator.

Carol is an engaging trainer who enjoys writing and facilitating programmes which are trauma informed yet challenging and evoke rich discussion. She is an advocate for accelerated learning techniques to make sure the programmes she delivers are also engaging, fun and interactive.

Dez Wilson

About Dez

Dez is a Freelance Facilitator, trained Transformational Coach, and Nature-Integrated Therapist with extensive experience delivering training across mental health, safeguarding, neurodiversity, and inclusion. With over ten years’ experience as a Level 5 Safeguarding Lead and support worker for young people aged 16–25, Dez brings both frontline expertise and compassionate insight to his facilitation.

Dez has delivered training in LGBT+ awareness, inclusion, gender diversity, neurodiversity, and ADHD awareness, and mental health and diversity training for organisations including Ernst & Young and the Department for Work and Pensions. He is known for creating engaging, psychologically safe learning environments that encourage reflection, participation, and practical application.

Alongside his facilitation work, Dez is the founder of ‘Relax Rewild’, where he supports individuals through outdoor nature-based therapeutic coaching and wellbeing practices. His approach couples evidence-based knowledge with warmth, authenticity, and a strong belief in the transformative power of inclusive, person-centred learning.

Dionne Miles

About Dionne

Dionne gained Qualified Teacher Status in Primary Education in 2007 and has spent her career supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and faiths. Throughout her work in education, she has been committed to helping individuals overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their potential.

Before becoming a teacher, Dionne worked as both a volunteer and paid mentor, supporting young people facing a range of challenges, including family difficulties, housing issues and access to education and employment. Her personal and professional experiences have shaped her strong belief in equity, integrity and the transformative power of education.

Throughout her teaching career, Dionne became increasingly aware of the importance of safeguarding, wellbeing and ensuring that people receive the support they need to thrive. These experiences led her into her current roles as a Specialist Study Skills Tutor and Specialist Mentor, supporting disabled university students to navigate challenges, develop confidence and succeed in their studies.

Dionne is passionate about creating supportive and inclusive environments where people feel listened to, valued and empowered. She believes that knowledge has the power to transform lives and is committed to helping others recognise their strengths and achieve their goals.

About Farah

Farah is an experienced facilitator specialising in inclusive leadership, cultural competence, unconscious bias and sexual harassment. She has over two decades of training experience across the charity and private and public sectors, supporting organisations to strengthen their inclusion practices amongst managers and teams.

Her work is shaped by her lived experiences, influenced by navigating differences and inequity in real settings. Farah began her career as a frontline worker in housing and education before moving into senior roles, shaping and delivering learning and development.

At the core of her work is a strong commitment to social justice and a passion to see people develop. She strongly believes organisations work better when people are able to be themselves, have real opportunities to grow and are able to contribute fully.

Faye Fox

About Faye

As Co-Director of our organisation she is passionate about empowering professionals within the criminal justice, social care, and charity sectors to make a lasting impact through values-based training.

Faye plays a crucial role in leading and developing our organisation, with a particular focus on leadership, team building, and operational processes. Her expertise in these areas is central to guiding organisations towards achieving excellence.

Faye has extensive experience in designing and delivering learning and development programmes, utilising a blended approach that includes coaching, face-to-face training, one-to-one sessions, team building, and action learning.

She has held key roles, such as Operations Director for a charity working within the criminal justice system to prevent sexual abuse, and Manager of adult offender and resettlement services.

Her background as a Learning and Development Officer in both private and charity sectors informs her training style, which delegates describe as “relaxed, engaging, and transformational.”

About Gemma

Gemma is a fully qualified secondary teacher and has over 20 years' experience working with Children and Young People. When in education Gemma was an Assistant Headteacher and trained Designated Safeguarding Officer and gained a wealth of frontline experience in safeguarding, leadership, and management.

Gemma is a Taye facilitator and a training for influence mentor. Alongside this, Gemma runs her own company, Generate Theatre Company, whose mission is to use theatre and creativity to improve the wellbeing of the communities and priority groups and to promote and develop social, physical, and emotional skills for individuals that will help them succeed in everyday life.

Gemma is very passionate about all the work she does and always wants to make a difference to people whether that be through direct contact or through the training she delivers to frontline teams.

Gilli Camina

About Gilli

Gilli has worked in specialist safeguarding roles within health, charity and social care settings since 1989, and as an independent safeguarding consultant (Director of Universal Safeguarding Solutions Ltd) since 2013. She is passionate about her work and recognises that the trust placed in her by organisations is a huge privilege.

Gilli has current and transferable strategic and operational safeguarding experience and expertise across all sectors - nationally and internationally. She believes that every conversation – in training, supervision, consultancy and with colleagues – has the potential to change lives and transform attitudes and practice if it is done right. What Gilli does is very much an extension of who she is. She is an expert by experience in domestic abuse and sexual violence, and as a single parent.

Gilli provides independent safeguarding risk assessment and case management support to several organisations as an independent panel Chair, safeguarding and governance consultant, supervisor, and trainer. She is passionate about EDI, social justice and working in the youth, charity, criminal justice, faith and sport sectors. Gilli also works with a number of multi-national corporations and NGOs.

Her approach is founded upon subject expertise, experience in practice, partnership, respect, and change theory.

Gillian brings over 15 years of experience in health and social care, including 10 years in leadership and management roles. She has worked across various settings, supporting diverse groups of people. Her extensive experience has given her a deep appreciation for frontline work and managerial responsibilities.

Gillian strongly advocates for the belief that everyone possesses the ability and right to learn. Inclusion, respect, and empowerment are vital for this belief to thrive in the training. As a qualified teacher, Gillian is passionate about inspiring and engaging with people. She delights in sparking interest and initiating conversations about current challenges. She works through real-life examples to foster confidence and the ability to conquer these challenges.

Wellbeing is a particular area of interest for Gillian, who understands the importance of taking care of staff to support individuals and effectively contribute to the business's success.

Helen brings over a decade of experience as a holistic health coach, alongside a background in mental health, nutrition, neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice. Her work is shaped by lived experience, extensive study and years of supporting adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, burnout, menopause and the pressures of everyday life.

Helen is passionate about helping others build confidence and develop practical tools they can use in their day-to-day lives. Using her background in mental health and coaching, alongside her lived experience of ADHD and trauma recovery, she creates safe and supportive spaces where people feel included and able to engage in their own way.

Helen believes that meaningful change comes from self-awareness, compassion and understanding what works for us as individuals. Her warm and practical approach helps delegates gain fresh perspectives, build confidence and leave sessions feeling empowered to take positive steps forward.

As a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, she has supported individuals facing chronic and complex challenges through high-quality, low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions.

Alongside her clinical work, Helen holds a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and has acted as a workplace representative, offering guidance on employment rights and wellbeing. This unique combination of skills enables her to approach mental health and workplace wellbeing with a holistic and compassionate perspective.

As a facilitator, Helen creates safe, inclusive, and engaging spaces. Her commitment to inspiring positive change and her dedication to supporting others ensures that delegates feel truly heard and supported. Humie is an award-winning equality, diversity and inclusion specialist with over 30 years’ experience in public and community work. Her mission is making sure that disadvantaged groups, people from minority ethnic backgrounds, and those with disabilities are championed and listened to.

Humie co-chaired the Learning Disability Ministerial Advisory Group for the Welsh Government, helping to oversee plans to improve the lives of those with learning disabilities, and her work in advisory roles have gone on to help shape the Anti-Racist Wales Action Plan.

Currently, Humie also facilitates TUC Cymru’s Activist Development Programme. Through this role, she delivers training on anti-racism and social justice, helping women and ethnic minority members build the skills to challenge discrimination at work.

Through her work as a Customer Service Manager, she has developed a strong understanding of the challenges faced by frontline staff and the important role leaders play in supporting, motivating and empowering people to achieve their potential.

Alongside her professional experience, Janine is a member of True Temperance International, an organisation that supports people to make positive lifestyle changes that improve their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. This work informs her facilitation, particularly around mental health and wellbeing, and enables her to draw on both lived and professional experience when connecting with delegates.

Janine is passionate about helping people recognise their strengths and realise their potential. She enjoys creating opportunities for learning and reflection, believing that everyone brings valuable experiences that can enrich the learning environment. Kate has over 20 years of frontline experience in the charity sector, working closely with individuals facing complex and challenging situations, including domestic abuse refuge and outreach services, welfare to work programmes, and supporting the armed forces community. Through this, she champions people to rebuild their confidence, recognise their strengths, and move towards positive change.

Alongside her work in the charity sector, Kate is also a self employed women’s empowerment coach, supporting women to rebuild their self-worth, reconnect with their identity, and gain clarity, direction and confidence.

As a facilitator, Kate is particularly passionate about holding and creating safe spaces, while working in a person centred and trauma informed way. Kate’s expertise and experience means she is able to make sure delegates feel safe, respected and supported during training.

About Laurie

Laurie is an experienced facilitator specialising in domestic abuse, safeguarding, and trauma informed practice, having worked in education, supported children and families, and delivered safeguarding programmes for the NSPCC.

Alongside her professional experience, Laurie’s lived experience has shaped her passion for helping others to understand, recognise and respond to domestic abuse in a safe and informed way.

Currently, Laurie delivers training to professionals across a range of sectors, covering topics including: domestic abuse; healthy relationships; safeguarding; coercive and controlling behaviour; and trauma informed practice. Her passion for domestic abuse awareness has enabled her to facilitate meaningful conversations and equip delegates with the tools needed to recognise and support victim/survivors.

Laurie believes that education and awareness are powerful tools for prevention, and she uses this belief to develop practical, useful training that can be applied to real-world situations.

Leah Robinson

Leah has extensive experience in the education sector and is committed to child centred practice. In her roles as Teacher, Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Deputy Headteacher, and Headteacher, Leah has consistently been dedicated to advocating for the children and young people in her care.

Leah specialises in safeguarding, inclusivity, neurodivergence and trauma-informed practice, and started her own organisation in order to have a further impact on the lives of children and young people. This involves fighting for inclusive practices, safeguarding consultancy, and being a subject matter expert for early years and safeguarding.

Leah believes that values are the key to inspiring and driving forward change, and she is truly committed to supporting others to overcome barriers and challenge stereotypes.

Lindsay Pendleton

About Lindsay

Lindsay is an experienced social worker with a background in adult social care and mental health services, including early intervention in psychosis teams, assertive outreach and community mental health support. She has worked as both an Approved Social Worker and Approved Mental Health Professional, supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health needs.

Alongside her work in social care, Lindsay spent 10 years as a Senior Mental Health Advisor at a large university, supporting both staff and students across Higher and Further Education settings. During this time, she established the university's Mental Health First Aid programme, helping to increase awareness, confidence and support across the institution.

Lindsay is passionate about helping people develop the knowledge and confidence to support mental wellbeing. Drawing on her experience across social care, mental health services and higher education, she creates supportive learning environments where delegates feel safe to explore complex topics, ask questions and learn from one another. Her compassionate approach encourages delegates to prioritise self-care while building confidence in supporting others.

Liv Bethell

About Liv

Liv studied psychology and criminology at university where she also volunteered for a charity that supports survivors of sexual violence for 2 years. After leaving university she then started working for the same charity as an ISVA where she supported survivors through the criminal justice system and advocate for their needs. Liv then went on to be the specialist trainer for the charity exploring issues such as how to support survivors and how to become trauma informed.

Liv is a freelance facilitator for Taye and supporting with various projects within the organisation. Her current role is organising educational events for an external organisation.

Liv has a passion for sexual violence awareness and trauma informed awareness, empowering and supporting others to break down the stigma that often accompanies sexual trauma. Liv creates a safe space within the training where difficult questions and topics can be explored to create the best learning environment.

Louise Ross

About Louise

Louise is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a background in mental health, social care and inpatient services. Her varied career has given her a holistic understanding of both physical and mental health, alongside a strong belief that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, regardless of the challenges they may face.

Alongside her work in occupational therapy, Louise has many hobbies, which have led her to run a film company, a paint-your-own pottery studio and a holiday cottage. Through her pottery business, she became involved in a project combining creative activities with alcohol and drug awareness workshops within the criminal justice system. She also sits on the board of a local charity supporting people with mental health difficulties into employment.

Louise is passionate about helping people recognise their strengths and make positive changes in their lives. She enjoys creating supportive learning environments where delegates can reflect, share experiences and develop their confidence, drawing on her wide-ranging experience to bring practical insight and real-world examples to her training.

Mark Wrangles

About Mark

Mark has a background in both mainstream and alternative provision school leadership with experience around pastoral support and safeguarding. After over 20 years in schools, he now supports organisations around two areas. The first is enabling schools to understand and respond to the effects of poverty in their students, the second is supporting those developing alternative approaches to mainstream education. Having seen the impact of Trauma through lived experience and his work with young people he has a particular interest and enthusiasm for educating others around trauma-informed practice.

Mark has facilitated courses for Taye in safeguarding and trauma informed practice. He has also assessed Training 4 Influence students as they complete the training session element of their course.

Mark likes to develop and lead training that is varied in style, engaging and that results in an ability to apply the learning and see its practical impact.

Mike Wrigglesworth

About Mike

Mike was a solicitor for over thirty years, spending almost 27 of them with the CPS. During that time, he prosecuted cases in both the Magistrates' and Crown Courts and reviewed files across the full spectrum of criminal offences, including serious sexual abuse and murder.

He was the national CPS policy lead on vulnerable and intimidated witnesses and the intermediary scheme, and managed teams of lawyers covering Crown Court advocacy and the review of serious sexual offences.

Since retiring from the Crown Prosecution Service in 2019, Mike has worked as an Associate with the College of Policing, developing examination questions for police promotions and assessing potential recruits to the police service. He also delivers training on criminal law and procedures to government departments.

Mike is involved in projects to improve internal processes and support freelance facilitators, as well as delivering training both online and in person. He enjoys creating inclusive learning environments where people feel comfortable to contribute, share ideas, and learn from one another.

Inclusion, fairness, and justice have been important themes throughout Mike's career. He believes everyone should have the opportunity to take part, develop their knowledge, and leave training with something useful they can apply in practice.

Naomi Smith

About Naomi

Naomi is a domestic abuse and stalking specialist, trainer, and consultant with over 15 years of frontline experience across criminal justice, social care, housing, and education.

A SafeLives-qualified Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA), she has extensive experience supporting high-risk victims of domestic abuse, stalking, and sexual violence. Her career has included roles within the courts, police teams, Children's Services, housing departments, refuges, and No Recourse to Public Funds teams, as well as Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Domestic Abuse Coordinator roles with local authorities and national charities, including Victim Support, Solace Women's Aid, and Refuge.

Naomi also delivers Out of Court Resolution (OOCR) interventions and training on behalf of police and criminal justice partners. With a background in criminology and sociology, she brings a strong understanding of abuse, power dynamics, and social inequality to both her frontline work and training delivery.

Her approach is shaped by a combination of professional expertise, academic knowledge, and lived experience of growing up in a home affected by domestic abuse and stalking. She creates compassionate, honest learning environments that help people build the confidence and understanding to respond safely and with empathy.

Naomi is committed to improving how services understand and respond to abuse, supporting organisations and practitioners to strengthen their safeguarding approaches and make a meaningful difference to the people they work with.

Nasra is an experienced Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) with over six years of experience supporting both survivors and perpetrators of domestic abuse. Alongside her work in the domestic abuse sector, she brings more than 14 years of experience in clinical and healthcare settings, giving her a strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and multi-agency working.

As a facilitator, she has designed and delivered a range of professional development programmes, including Domestic Abuse Awareness, Anti-Racism, EDI, and Cultural Competency training. She enjoys creating supportive learning environments that encourage reflection, discussion, and practical learning, helping professionals build confidence when working with diverse communities.

Nasra also works as a Protective Services Tutor, delivering the Level 3 Domestic and Sexual Abuse qualification and the Level 3 Safeguarding apprenticeship. With 20 years of experience in the Travel and Sales industries. In recent years, she has expanded her expertise to include supporting individuals with ADHD through specialised coaching and training.

Nicola has over 24 years of experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, working on the frontline as a Support Worker and Services Manager across the statutory, social care and charity sectors. Throughout her career, she has supported adults of all ages, including individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, dementia and mental health conditions.

Her areas of expertise include learning disability and hearing loss, cerebral palsy, safeguarding adults at risk, empowerment, and person-centred support planning. Nicola delivers training grounded in both professional and lived experience, focusing on subjects that mean a lot to her.

Nicola believes in empowering people to develop independence and confidence, values that run through all of her training. She encourages delegates to apply their learning in a way that works for their role, helping them feel more confident in supporting the people they work alongside.

Nina Whitsed

Nina has almost 20 years frontline experience within the Criminal Justice System, facilitating and managing rehabilitative interventions to people on probation. Nina’s experience has predominantly focussed on working with those convicted of domestic abuse, she also spent many years delivering CBT-based interventions addressing anger management, drink/drug driving and the implementation of problem-solving skills.

At Taye, Nina has helped develop, and facilitates the ‘Working with People Convicted of Domestic Abuse’ training. Nina also enjoys the role of Assessor for the Training 4 Influence Train the Trainer Qualification. Outside of Taye, Nina works full-time as a Treatment Manager in Accredited Programmes within the Probation Service.

Nina is an energetic and enthusiastic facilitator, who enjoys creating interactive and collaborative training environments to really bring the subject matter to life and enable delegates to use the skills within their frontline roles.

Noel Moran is a major advocate in positive change and believes everyone can unlock their highest potential. His journey comes from an extensive lived experience in criminal justice. Noel now spends his time passionately sharing his experience and knowledge through training frontline professionals and working with people experiencing multiple disadvantages.

Noel is a yoga teacher and specialist trainer in multiple fields. He has designed a unique 10-week mindfulness-based yoga course specifically for people with multiple disadvantages in Prisons nationwide to share the practice and give hope to others incarcerated, he fundamentally believes we can all find the light at the end of our own tunnel. As a motivational speaker he shares his journey which is both empowering and inspiring.

Noel believes that helping people reach their highest potential, connecting with their values and how they share that into the world. Actively listening to delegates, showing empathy and understanding, brings hope and wellbeing to all training sessions. Noel is extremely authentic, honest and kind, which helps him to connect with delegates on a human level.

Penny has nearly 30 years’ professional experience in asset-based community development and organisational leadership across the voluntary sector and local government. Her background includes project management, health and social care policy development, leading strategic grant funding programmes and commissioning. Penny has worked across a range of health and social policy areas, including homelessness, supported accommodation, mental health (adults and children and young people), employment and family services.

Over the past 10 years, Penny has developed her coaching and training expertise alongside co-designing and delivering peer-led programmes that empower people with lived experience to create and implement community-based solutions that support the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and the adults around them.

Sally has 30 years’ experience as a police officer, with 14 years as a Detective Sergeant in Safeguarding Adults and Children. She has overseen multiple investigations into child and adult abuse and domestic abuse offences and worked in several multi-agency settings.

Sally has been involved in domestic homicide reviews and serious case reviews, leading on the implementation of a Domestic Abuse Hub and chairing the daily MARAC meetings.Her experience of leading on a complex adult care home neglect investigation led to her being invited to address a crime conference in London and be recorded as a national expert on the subject with the NCA.

Sally currently works as a Learning and Improvement Officer for her local Safeguarding Adults Board and Safeguarding Childrens Partnership. Sally is committed to ensuring her training feels personal and relevant to each individual and recognises the link between effective learning and improved outcomes for children and adults in need of support.

Sally has an extensive and varied background. For over a decade, she held a range of roles within criminal justice, including prison officer, youth offending service practitioner, probation worker, and roles within drugs and alcohol services and prison resettlement. She built on this experience in the housing sector, managing homeless hostels for young people and working for the housing charity Shelter.

Having seen first-hand the impact that abuse can have on children, Sally went on to spend seven years with the NSPCC, further developing her safeguarding knowledge and expertise. She then moved into strategic, operational and safeguarding training roles within sport, working for a governing body, County FA and a professional football club.

Sally is committed to helping organisations find practical solutions that meet their unique needs, ensuring her training and support make a meaningful difference in practice. Sarah spent 14 years as a Police Officer, working in frontline, investigative and change-focused roles. Her experience included supporting vulnerable individuals, responding to complex and sensitive situations, and operating in high-pressure environments where integrity, accountability and sound judgement were critical. She was also a Sexual Offences First Responder, which strengthened her traumainformed, victim-centred and safeguarding-aware approach.

She has a background in the violence against women and girls movement, as a frontline volunteer, trainer, and organiser, and it is here that she started actively building the skills and knowledge to allow her to challenge organisational practice and support positive change. Sophie is also the Director of Speak! Training and Consulting, an organisation focussed on supporting organisations in their anti-oppression journey.

Sophie brings a blend of professional expertise and lived experience as a disabled, neurodivergent, and queer woman, allowing her to bring training to life with real world examples. She excels in creating engaging and challenging training packages, delivered with sensitivity and in a psychologically safe space that empowers delegates to meaningfully explore what are often challenging and emotive topics.

Steve is an AC accredited coach with over ten years’ worth of coaching experience.

Steve spent many years working with young people (council youth worker, Prince’s Trust) he then moved into the world of homelessness and worked as a coach for Crisis, whilst also being part of the Lived Experience Advisory Board.

Steve now works for an Adult Autism and ADHD service, providing coaching for neurodivergent adults and manages the support side of the service. Steve is a coach and facilitator for Taye and he thoroughly enjoys sharing his experiences about how to communicate with people effectively.

Tina uses every opportunity to create proactive conversations about safeguarding. She strives to foster connections and inspire thought-provoking discussions by utilising her surroundings and engaging with those around her. She believes we can empower children and adults with the knowledge and skills that will shape their future.

Tina was named as a next-generation trailblazer by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2020,aTrueHonour recipient in 2023 for her exceptional work against so-called “honour-based” abuse.Recently, she became a delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) and serves on the Methodist Church's safeguarding committee.

Vicki is a passionate and experienced facilitator and trainer, driven by her values to improve the world for people who use drugs. Vicki cares deeply about providing excellent support to people, especially women, to help provide choice for people to make positive changes if and when they are ready. Vicki takes a harm reduction approach to this, valuing and meeting people where they are, and supporting them to make the changes they want. Vicki is driven by the need to improve social justice and am a committed anti-racist and intersectional feminist.

Vicki currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Manchester, her research areas are changes to the drug and alcohol sector, women’s access to treatment and harm reduction. Prior to this Vicki have over 20 years’ experience of working within the drug and alcohol treatment sector for medium sized and national providers, and for the past 9 years she was the Chief Executive of the charity Project 6.
